On Off Plan purchases, a 3,500 Euro deposit will take a property off the market in the potential purchasers' name for a few days before contract signature.

After a contract is signed between the Developer / Owner and the new Owner, and the relevant monies paid (e.g. 30% within 30 days of signature on Off Plan properties) the transfer of ownership has to be lodged with the Cyprus Land Registry by the purchasers' solicitor in order to commence the process of producing Title Deeds.

Once the registration has been completed, an agreed payment structure will come into play dependent on the financial timetable of the purchaser and the stage of the construction at the time of the contract signature.
